Last date for registration on e-shram portal?
As there is no official last date, all the employees associated with the unorganized sector can apply for the e-shram card anytime. Let us inform that the last date of registration on the e-shram portal was December 31, 2021 to avail the benefit of Rs 500 in Uttar Pradesh, which is now over. However, if someone is a worker in the unorganized sector, then he can register on the e-shram portal without any hassle.

What is e-shram portal
Union Labor and Employment Minister Bhupendra Yadav had said that for the first time in the history of India, arrangements are being made for the registration of 38 crore unorganized workers. This will not only register them but will also help in completing various social security schemes being implemented by the Central and State Governments. Let us tell you that this portal is the first database created for the people working in the unorganized sector. A 12-digit e-shram card is being issued by the government to the workers through this and this card is valid across the country. The workers will get the benefit of various government schemes through this card.

Accidental Insurance of Rs 2 lakh
Accidental insurance scheme up to Rs 2 lakh for each registered unorganized worker is also being provided on the e- shram portal. Bhupendra Yadav had also thanked the Prime Minister for approving an accident insurance scheme of Rs 2 lakh for each registered unorganized worker on the e-shram portal. He had said that if a worker is registered on this portal and meets with an accident, he will be liable to pay Rs 2 lakh in case of death or permanent physical disability and Rs 1 lakh in case of partial physical disability. Will be eligible and the government is always committed to the welfare of the workers.

Tutor, Safai Karamchari, Guard, Housekeeper-Maid (Kam Wali Bai), Cooking Bai (Cook), Beauty Parlor Worker, Barber, Cobbler, Tailor, Carpenter, Plumber, Electrician (Electrician), Grandson ( Painter), Tile Wale, Every Shopkeeper/Salesman/Helper, Auto Driver, Driver, Puncher Maker, All Animal Husbandry, Paper Hawker, Shepherd, Dairy Wale, Zomato Swiggy Delivery Boy, Amazon Flipkart Delivery Boy (Courier Wale) ), Welder, Agricultural labourer, NREGA worker, Stone breaker, Mine worker, Brick kiln worker, False ceiling worker, Sculptor, Fisherman, Rickshaw puller, Carry seller of any kind (Vendor), Reza, Coolie, Chaat wala, Bhel wala, Chai wala, Hotel servant/waiter, Receptionist, Inquiry clerk, Operator, Nurse, Wardboy, Aaya, Temple priest,E-Shramik Card can be created for daily wage earners of various government offices i.e. actually every worker seen around you.

How to register on the portal?
Workers will have to visit https://www.eshram.gov.in/ to register on the portal . After that, the Aadhaar number will have to be entered for registration and all the information related to the worker from the person data base will automatically appear on the portal. The person will also have to fill other important information including bank related information and mobile number. Please note that this online form can also be updated in future. Any person can register himself or with the help of Common Service Center.

After registration, e-shram card will be issued with the Universal Account Number of the worker. The government has also given 14434 toll free number for registration. Information related to the portal can be obtained by calling this toll free number. State governments can also register workers (e-Shram Card Registration) through this portal. Apoorva Chandra, Secretary, Ministry of Labor said that the registration on the e-Shram portal is completely free and workers will not have to make any payment for registration at the Common Service Center (CSC) or anywhere.
