Who can get ration card made?
According to the rules of ration card, one should be a citizen of India to get a ration card. The age of the person applying for the ration card should be 18 years or more. The name of the family members below 18 years will be included in the ration card of their parents. Ration card will be made in the name of the head of the family.

What is the process of getting a ration card?
You can get a ration card made by visiting the nearest Jan Suvidha Kendra in the state in which you live or online. Online application for ration card is done in Jan Seva Kendra. After applying, you will also get an acknowledgment. After checking your application and documents, the Food Department will issue you a new ration card within 30 days.
Ration card can also be made sitting at home,
for this you will first have to go to the website of the Department of Food, Supplies and Consumer Affairs (NFSA).
After that you have to login to the portal here.
After this, the NFSA 2013 Application Form has to be filled.
Now you have to provide proof of identity and residence.
You will have to provide Aadhar card , LPG connection, electricity bill, telephone bill, rent agreement for address proof . Apart from these, you will also have to submit income guarantee, cast certificate, passport size photograph and a self-addressed postcard.
After this all your information will be verified, if the information is correct, your ration card will be sent to your home.
